INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS INVITED TO USE THE NEW ELECTRONIC REPEAT DISPENSING SERVICE

ERD SERVICE

.

Repeat Prescriptionsmulticolour_pills

The surgeries are able to dispense to patients who live more than a mile from the nearest pharmacy.

If you need a regular prescription 28 days supply will be issued. Exceptions are the contraceptive pill and HRT (3 monthly). Your doctor will not usually need to see you each time. Information on the tear off portion of the green prescription (known as the right hand side) or on your medicine labels will keep you informed as to when you need any routine tests or examinations. From July 2018 we are moving to system where annual check will be in your birthday month- to move towards this this year checks might be sl late or early.

It is important that you attend for these checks to ensure your medicine is being tolerated and is still appropriate.

Patients who need to reorder should use the repeat slip attached to their last prescription or order online via the link at the top of this page. New users are required to complete a simple one-off registration.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

48_hoursPlease allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
